I am a writer and journalist, an author and playwright, a conservationist and financier, and have been a few other things along the way.
Originally I studied biology and then philosophy at the Universities of Oxford and London and hold a Master of Arts and a Master of Sciences. I also trained as an actor at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York, and acted on stage and screen, but to me this is the same as writing: it is all storytelling and trying to do it well. I also trained in finance in the City – and worked at the Financial Times – and sit on the board of several companies and write and broadcast journalism for multiple news and media outlets, including an impromptu column in The Telegraph – reprinted outside the subscriber paywall here.
